1. What is Vectone World?

Vectone World is software that by installing on your PC and/or mobile phone allows you to make international calls at local rates. To see if your handset is supported please visit our download section

 

2. How do I get started using Vectone World?

To get started with Vectone World, you need to download the dialer to your mobile phone or PC.

If you are a PC user you can download the dialer from here.

If you are a mobile phone user you can download Vectone World from here.

If you are an iPhone user you can download Vectone World from the Apple app-store. You can read more about our iPhone version here.

 

3. How do I sign up to Vectone World?

Once you have downloaded and installed the application to your mobile phone or PC you will have an option to sign-up. Please create a username and password, and enter your email address. It is important that you enter a valid email address, so we can deliver your password later in case you forget it.  

Once you have successfully created your account details you may login.

 

4. Is the Vectone World dialer Free?

Yes, the Vectone World dialer costs you nothing. The software is completely free and can be downloaded as many times as you want.

 

5. Can I view my calls history/details?

You can login to My Account on our website using your username and password to see your call history. Usage Data will be displayed for one month and will be searchable by date range over a 1 year period.

 

6. Which mobile phones are compatible with Vectone World?

To see a full list of available handsets please go to our download section. We add new handsets on an ongoing basis, so if you do not see your mobile phone on the list feel free to email us customer care. Most likely, your phone is not far away from being added.

 

7. How do I connect to Vectone World using Mobile Internet?

It is easy to use Vectone World via GPRS or 3G.

You need a data plan with your mobile operator before you can make or receive calls with Vectone World. If you are not sure whether your mobile agreement includes a data plan, you should check with your mobile operator directly.

If you use 3G/GPRS instead of Wi-Fi, the data cost of your operator applies.

 

3G/GPRS settings?

Each handset and mobile operator uses different settings for 3G/GPRS in order to connect to the mobile Internet. For the right settings for your handset, you should go to your handset manufacturer or network help pages.

 

8. What are the call charges to my destination?

For a full list of our rates please visit our rates page. Here you will be able to see the applicable rate for world-wide destinations.

However if you connect using mobile data, there may be a slight additional charge depending on the data plan you are using.

 

9. Can I send SMS messages with Vectone World?

Yes. You can send SMS Messages to any mobile phone number in the world. To see how much it will cost you to send an SMS please see our rates page.

 

10. My friends use other IM clients. Can I still talk to them?

You can import your contacts from Yahoo, msn, Google, ICQ, AIM and Skype. Voice calls are not yet supported but you can chat with them for absolutely free.

Don’t forget to invite your contacts to join Vectone World so you can make calls to them for free.

 

11. Can I have friends from different IM clients imported at the same time?

Yes. You can have all your accounts imported at the same time.

 

12. I lost my Password. How can I retrieve it?

If you lost your password you can go to our  lost password section. All you need to do is enter your username and we will send you an email with your correct password.

 

13. What happens if someone calls me when I am on another call or unable to pick up?

Voicemail is free with Vectone World and you don't have to activate anything. When you are on a call, all other incoming calls will automatically be diverted to voicemail.

 

14. Can I call emergency numbers (911, 999, 112)?

No. You cannot make calls to emergency services with Vectone World. We suggest you use a landline or mobile phone to make these calls.

 

15. Where can I see my Vectone World Number?

You can find your personal Vectone World number in the accounts tab. The first digits of your number will be: 008088xxxxxxxx – Share this number with your friends on Vectone Mobile so they can call you for Free.

 

16. Why can I not make calls from my iPhone?

You can make calls with Vectone World when you connect with Wi-Fi. However, when connecting via 3G you will not be able to make or receive calls. We hope this option becomes available soon and will update the application when it does.
